Communicore
In order to re-imagine Future World, a key aspect of that is to re-imagine the mess that is the center of the park. By following this, we will allow for apropriate character integration while keeping similar intent to the original EPCOT. In order to allow this, Communicore will be comprised of five different concourses: A, B, C, D, and Central. Additionally, a WEDWAY Peoplemover will be added to truly make a Future World. All original buildings were bulldozed, and rebuilt with new shapes and forms. Sweeping white buildings surround the new Fountain of Nations in the Heart of communicore. The fountains are now the same as those used in world of color, to alow for a watery spectacle to take place at night.
EPCOT Central Concourse
In the place of the old Project Tomorrow Spaceship Earth Post-Show is the Central Concourse, home to two major aspects of this makeover. First, Central Station is the new main gift shop at EPCOT, taking over a portion of the first floor of the central concourse. Here, guests can buy EPCOT vintage merchandise, along with assorted Disney trinkets. Secondly is the entrance to the EPCOT WEDWAY Peoplemover. Guests will queue on the first floor, then proceed to the upstairs loading section, where they will board furutistic carts for a tour of future world. For more information on the peoplemover, see the next section.
EPCOT WEDWAY Peoplemover
The Crowning jewel of the Communicore renovation is the new EPCOT WEDWAY Peoplemover. This new tour of Communicore and Future World will bring a sense of unity to the front of the park. A unique feature of this edition of the peoplemover is that each cart can connect with another, come to a complete stop, accelerate, and slow independently. This allows for unique show scenes, and timing. All carts will be open air, with covered track to allow for riding in the rain. On borad each cart is a unique screen. Lastly, this peoplemover will be made very unique in that it has two possible tour experiences. The first tour on the blue line is called the "Future World Tour" and the second tour on the Silver Line is called the "EPCOT History Tour". Each tour uses the same track, but has different vehicles. They travel in alternating sets of six cars each.
Blue Line: Future World Tour
Guests exit the central station as they enter the top of Concourse B. Guests then see a large screen in front of them with a map of communicore, and their path. The map is hyperlinked to the onboard screen as it tracks your location throughout the tour. From here a voice announces that you are approaching LudWig Von Drake's Lab. You enter with an AA ludwig holding a beaker and a globe, the beaker explodes as he wishes you well. You turn towards a large window as you get a view of @IDInstitute 's and @spacemt354 's new pavillions in the place of Universe of Energy and Wonders of Life as a brief description of them is stated. Guests then transition into a room with a huge projection globe as it comes to life, showing guests what they can do in Project Tommorow. Guests then exit B and have a clear view of Mission Space before entering Concourse D. They enter to a model rocket blasting off to the right as a description of Mission: Space plays. Guests then turn the corner into a world of food on conveyor belts. A computer offers your cart a meal as the announcer talks about the new Atomic Spark restaurant. The announcer talks of how the goal of future world is to take the old and make it new, and the best way to do that is with imagination. Here we face a wall that is projected upon with a sky. A scene from the newly reimagined ride is played as we turn. We stop and watch. We continue into a model plane, as the windows potray flight. An advertisement for The Sky Pavillion plays over the narraration. We exit the plane and enter a futuristic laboratory. Silver Line: EPCOT History Tour
Guests exit the station and enter Concourse B. Here, instead of the map scrren, the screen was raised to show an AA Walt giving a presentation about EPCOT. The carts stop to listen, before he hands off the spiel to his good friend Ludwig VonDrake for the Wonderful World of Color. We turn the corner to see an AA Ludwig with a globe and beaker. He talks about how Walt dreamed of a future world (as the globe illuminates with fiber optics) and how EPCOT is that future come to life. Ludwig takes over the ride's narraration. The cars move towards a window of the new pavillions as Ludwig talks about how like and community, EPCOT is constantly changing, with the addition of new pavillions. We then turn into the room with the large projection globe where the cars stop again. We are told how Walt was just one of many dreamers around the world. Dreamers faces pop up all over the globe, such as Jules Verne and Nikola Tesla. We then move out and towards building D. We are told to look around us, as the Future World is thriving. We then enter a room full of food on conveyors, as a new narrarator, who goes unnamed begins. She tells of how futuristic visions are coming to life around us. We enter a room full of robots serving food, as we are told how everywhere, lile here, futuristic fantasies like those dreamed by people such as Walt Disney are coming to life all around us. But the future wasn't Walt's only dream. We exit the concourse as our narrarator directs our attention towards World Showcase. We are told of his dream of a full-time world fair, how it has come to life in part through world showcase. We pull into Concourse C and into an office with a large globe. It spins at a moderate speed as the countries represented in the showcase are illuminated. The voice talks about how countries from around the world are represented in a peaceful setting, free from the stresses lf the outside world. We then go to a wall where we stop and watch as Tom Morrow tells us about how EPCOT was a part of the Florida Project, and how he scoured Orlando on his plane. We enter a plane with windows showing us flying over Orlando swamps. We then exit into a futuristic lab where an AA Tom Morrow awaits us. He invites us to explore the future in this future world. We cross into Concourse A where we see the land on the way. We see the hydroponics as Tom says we are inventing the future of agriculture at EPCOT. We turn and see a sample drone from intel as wee see how future is a reality. We are finalky shown in a circular room the model of project city. We are told that if we just keep trying, it could one day become a reality... We turn into a gallery of EPCOT conceot art which slowly fades into its equivalent present day as we are told that "after all, our Experimental Prototype Community of Tommorow already is a reality." We then exit concourse A and return to Central Station.
